Fast World Problems Update: Trackhawk 9-Second Passes, New Builds, and Big Plans for 2026
It’s been a few months since our last update — March 2025, to be exact — and somehow a lot has happened in that time. Between cross-state moves, broken race cars, new builds, and some major milestones, it felt like the right time to sit down and catch everyone up on what’s been going on behind the scenes at Fast World Problems.
Spoiler alert: it’s been chaotic, loud, expensive… and absolutely worth it.
Back to Colorado, Back to Racing
We officially made the move from California back to Colorado, and not long after that we were reunited with the Trackhawk, fresh from its build at RPM Denver. If you know the shop, you already know they don’t mess around — and once again, they delivered.
Of course, being us, we didn’t stop at just getting it back.
We raced the Trackhawk. We broke the Trackhawk.RPM fixed it again (seriously — thank you 👊).Then we raced it some more.
A 9-Second Trackhawk at Altitude
One of the biggest milestones for Fast World Problems to date:👉 Our first-ever 9-second quarter mile pass in the Trackhawk.
And not just anywhere — this happened at over 8,000 feet of density altitude here in Colorado. Anyone who’s raced at elevation knows how brutal that is on performance, which makes this accomplishment even sweeter.
Seeing that “9” on the timeslip after everything that went into the build made all the late nights, broken parts, and tuning headaches worth it.
The BMW Saga (Still Ongoing)
While the Trackhawk was having its redemption arc, the BMW decided to have its own meltdown.
We raced it.We broke it.We tried to fix it.
And… we still haven’t fixed it.
At this point, it’s looking like an issue with the fuel pump, and until that’s sorted, the BMW remains sidelined. As for the Dodge Colt — we still don’t have it back yet, but it is coming soon. (Yes, we know you’ve been asking.)
Enter the Durango Hellcat
Because clearly we didn’t have enough going on, we added another vehicle to the mix:🔥 A Durango Hellcat 🔥
So far:
We’ve raced the Hellcat
Started doing routine maintenance
And somehow… have not broken it yet
(knocking aggressively on wood)
The Durango is quickly becoming a favorite, and it’s setting the stage for something a lot of you have been asking for.
A New DIY Build Series (91 Octane, Garage Built)
One piece of feedback we’ve heard repeatedly is that the Trackhawk build is pretty insane — and not exactly relatable for everyone. So for the upcoming season, we’re switching gears.
We’re starting a DIY build series on the Durango Hellcat.
The goal?To build the meanest daily-drivable Durango possible on garbage 91 octane fuel, using:
My garage
My tools
My time
We’ll be keeping it realistic and hands-on. Headers might still get farmed out (because some things are better left off the garage floor), but overall this will be a much more approachable, do-it-yourself performance series.
Family Update: New Schools, Same Resilience
Outside the cars, our family has been busy too. The kiddos had to change schools mid-year during the move, and they absolutely crushed it. They’re resilient, adaptable, and already deep into another school year — now counting down the days to Christmas vacation.
Taylor and I couldn’t be prouder.
Welcoming Brad to the FWP Team
We’re also excited to officially welcome Brad to the Fast World Problems team.
Brad will be helping us launch an FWP e-commerce performance parts business, which many of you have asked about for a long time. This has been a big behind-the-scenes project, and over the next few months you’ll start seeing parts, merch, and tools we actually use and trust — all under the FWP brand.
Stay tuned on that.
Off-Season Doesn’t Mean Off the Grid
Race season here in Colorado is wrapping up (snow and drag racing don’t mix very well), but the content isn’t stopping.
You can keep up with us on:
YouTube
Instagram
Facebook
TikTok (yes, we’re finally there)
Build updates, races, breakdowns, and probably a few broken parts — as usual.
Looking Ahead to 2026
The plans for 2026 are already in motion, and it’s shaping up to be our biggest season yet. Between the DIY Durango build, future Trackhawk updates, the e-commerce launch, and continued racing content, we’re planning to go harder than ever.
As always, thank you for the support — seriously. None of this happens without the community behind Fast World Problems.
We appreciate every like, comment, share, and message. We love you guys.
